The other side of Brokenness

The second half the year will end few days from now. I believe that we have encountered a lot of victories and failures, joy and sadness, fullness and brokenness. I know that God has created the opposite of something to differentiate the situations. In the Bible there is an oxymoron stories that talks about failures as an avenue for success, mourning to gladness and brokenness as strength. I wonder why this has been used by God to maximize one’s fullest potential for His greatest glory, the Lord has to break us so that we might have a new kind of spiritual, emotional and physical strength that is not human in origin. Bible stories like Paul was broken on the Damascus road but God used Him to change the lives of many people all throughout the world. Jacob was broken at Peniel when he asked God for a blessing.  When we are broken, we see the weakness of humans’ strength and come to seize with the truth that we can do nothing in our own strength. According to OS Hillman, new strength emergences when we are broken and after acknowledging our own brokenness then God will move mightily in our lives.

Thank you Lord for the love you have out poured in this season, I thank you for a teachable and contrite heart. I would like to greet you a happy Father's Day, you are very true to your word and promise. We love you, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords-- the author of life-- Jesus.
