Last night, I attended Resoul at Greenbelt 1 and afterwards watched karate kid with Michelle Baldogo and Genelle Alhambra. The story is about 12-year-old Dre Parker and his mothers arrive in Beijing from Detroit to start a new life. Dre develops a crush on a young violinist, Mei Ying, who reciprocates his attention, but Cheng, a kung fu prodigy whose family is close to Mei Ying's, attempts to keep them apart by beating up Dre, and later harassing and humiliating him in and around school. During a particularly brutal beating by Cheng and his bully friends, the kindly maintenance man of Dre's building, Mr. Han, comes to Dre's aid, revealing himself as akung fu master who adeptly dispatches Dre's tormentors. At the end, Dre won the tournament. He won the heart of many.
Just like in our lives, sometimes we tend to give up because of the difficulty but the child in the movie didn’t give up instead he continues to fight though he had broken his legs – he won in the tournament in the end.
